- BACKSTORY
- My grandfather used to take me and my older sister cane pole fishing when we were little. Then when my mom passed we went deep sea fishing with my dad to try and console him. And now I have a couple kids and enjoyed taking them fishing so I decided to sit down and write a song they could enjoy.

LYRICS
Intro
Uh hey, sorry boss man I gotta call out today.
No i’m just not reeling…i mean feelin good.
Oh don’t worry yeah I’m going to the doc, the d-o-c-k
Verse
I just wanna get out in a boat
I don’t care where we go
Leave the kids and the wife
I wanna cast that perfect line
Somebody toss me a beer
I wanna make it crystal clear
I don’t give a flip about work
This is my one shot at the american dream
This song right here needs to hit me a million streams
Chorus
And when those fish bite
I go back way back in time
When i used to be
Sittin on, my grandpa’s knee
Yeah we were castin
Out on that glass and
I was only 12 yeah but, we were
Livin the dream
Hittin those streams,
Momma, look at me
I’m living the dream
They’re bubblin bubblin
Oh how i wish
Everyday of my life I I just wanna fish
Verse 2
Well these days all i got
are big bills and a little yard
That i slave for
But i hope that i am made for more, Oh Yeah
The boss can keep this 80 hours
Makin me weak, holdin the Power
Over my life, keepin me down
I wanna get so far out
In a bass boat
Before my truck gets repo’d
I really didn’t want you to know this about me
But hey hey isn’t this
That kind of honesty I need for this song to hit
A million streams
Chorus
And when those fish bite
I go back, way back in time
When i used to be
Sittin up on my grandpa’s knee
Yeah we were casting
Out on that glass and
I was only 12 yeah oh momma but we were
Livin the dream yeah
Just hittin those streams, now look at me
Living the dream
Bridge
I just wanna fish
Everyday is that, is that too much to ask
Oh yeah it costs money
But if this song right here would just hit a million streams
I could do it every day, oh yeah owww i just wanna fish
And when you hear this song playing on your radio
Pop them bobbers in that pond, and toss me a beer come on come on
God grant me that i may live to fish, until my dying day
Yeah I just wanna fish
Outro
They’re bubbling, bubbling
Hey how many streams does the song have so far?
Do I still have to go to work tomorrow?
Cause they’re, they’re bubbling.
